X-Treme Synthetic Food Grade Grease
X-Treme Synthetic Food Grade Grease
(NLGI #2, USDA H-1 High Temperature EP) AMSOIL X-Treme Synthetic Food-Grade Grease is an ultra-premium aluminum-complex grease designed with non-toxic additives to help keep food and pharmaceuticals free from contamination.
Remains Stable at Temperature Extremes
X-Treme Synthetic Food-Grade Grease provides exceptional performance over a
wide operating temperature range of -35°F to 350°F (up to 400°F in intermittent-use
situations), making it suitable for both hot and cold applications.
Maximum Equipment Life
AMSOIL X-Treme Synthetic Food-Grade Grease features excellent extreme-pressure
capabilities that reduce friction and heat generation and help eliminate metal-to-metal
contact. It promotes maximum equipment performance and life.
Resists Water Washout
X-Treme Synthetic Food-Grade Grease resists water washout, ensuring it stays in
place when exposed to water during washing and rinsing. Its excellent washout
resistance helps reduce greasing frequency, saving time spent performing
maintenance. It also protects equipment from the harmful effects of water, including
rust and corrosion.
Compatibility
AMSOIL X-Treme Synthetic Food-Grade Grease is compatible with lithium-complex,
calcium 12 hydroxy and other aluminum-complex greases. It is not compatible
with barium, bentonite clay, calcium, calcium complex, lithium, lithium 12 hydroxy,
polyurea or sodium greases. If switching from an incompatible grease-type to
AMSOIL X-Treme Synthetic Food-Grade Grease, complete purging is required.
- Helps keep food and pharmaceuticals free from contamination
- promotes maximum equipment life by reducing friction and heat
- Helps reduce greasing frequency by staying in place during washing and rinsing
Application Recommendations
AMSOIL X-Treme Synthetic Food-Grade Grease is designed
for use in food service and pharmaceutical industry equipment
such as preparation, processing and packaging machinery
where there is a possibility of incidental contact.
Application Maintenance
Maintaining a clean work environment is important when
equipment greasing is performed. Wipe grease fittings clean
prior to injecting grease to prevent contaminant ingestion.
Maintain bearing housings one-third to one-half full of grease.
Prevent over-greasing as this can result in excessive heat
buildup. Supplement standard grease maintenance by
periodically cleaning and packing housings with fresh grease on
an established maintenance schedule.
HEALTH & SAFETY
This product is not expected to cause health concerns when used for the intended
application and according to the recommendations in the Material
Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). USA and Canada (M)SDS are available upon request at 715-392-7101 or on the AMSOIL Website. Keep Out of Reach of Children. Don’t pollute.
